February 23, 2007 update: Mr. Soliday attends the Night of the Ninjas Tournament in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Mr. Soliday attended the Friday night Shotokan Tiger tournament, judging several
divisions throughout the evening. This was a rare all-male tournament, which was a
diversion from the normal annual friday evening tournaments offered as all-female competitions.
Mr. Allen Anderson, 2nd DAN, also attended this event, and judged several divisions as well.

Competing in this tournament were Soliday students Chase and Matt. Chase took 4th
place in fighting, and Matt took 1st place in fighting.

January 27, 2007 update: Mr. Soliday attends
Midwestern Open 2007 in Neosho, Missouri

Nancie Longacre (7th DAN), Katie Carr (Brown Belt), and Eric Jamison (Brown Belt),
represented the UGKA and the Sapulpa Institute of Karate in competition at the
SWAT Regional Event – the Midwestern Open 2007 held at Crowder College in
Neosho, Mo.

Mr. Soliday visits with other SWAT Blackbelts. Also accompanying
Mr. Soliday was Leon Longacre (7th DAN), Allan Anderson (2nd DAN), and
parents of Soliday students, Larry Jamison and Scott Carr.

Nancie “Tiny” Longacre took 2nd Place competing in the
Senior Blackbelt division. Nancie also assisted greatly with Katie,
providing her the opportunity to warm up, as well as providing support
and encouragement in her efforts.

Eric Jamison took 2nd Place in the Forms Competition,
and 2nd Place in the Fighting Competition. This was Eric’s first tournament
competing in the Advanced Division, and he had an excellent showing!

Katie Carr faced substantial competition in her division, and
although she did not place in the Forms Competition, she was awarded 1st Place in the
13-15 year Female Advanced Division. Katie also took the opportunity to
fight in the Advanced Male division and did well facing off against three
