February 24, 2007 update: Soliday Black Belts and student win at the Oklahoma
Karate Association Awards Tournament in Moore, Oklahoma!





Leon Longacre, 7th DAN, and Nancie Longacre, 7th DAN, both competed at the
OKA Awards Tournament. Nancie took 1st place in the Forms Competition, while Leon took
3rd place after an intense competition! Both Mr. and Mrs. Longacre also participated in
judging several divisions within the tournament, and Mr. Longacre assisted in judging the
adult black belt fighting competitions.








Soliday student, Katie Carr, competed in both Fighting and Forms. Katie
took 1st place in the Forms competition amidst stiff competition. The only brown belt
in the advanced division, she faced off against a group of black belts, performing her
kata a second time to break a three-way tie for first place. Katie also won 1st place
in the fighting competition. After the tournament, Katie was presented an award for being
the number 1 fighter for the year in 2006, and the number 2 competitor in forms in
the State of Oklahoma!
