December 1, 2007 update: Soliday’s Sapulpa Institute of Karate makes strong
showing at the American Karate Association’s last tournament of 2007!


Soliday black belts Nancie Longacre, 7th DAN and Katie Carr, 1st DAN
competed in the black belt competition at the AKA’s DragonFest 2007 tournament in Eureka Springs.
Soliday students also competing included Scott Carr, Green Belt; Kassie Carr, Green Belt; and Chelsea Boen, White Belt – two stripes. In addition, Mr. Leon Longacre, 7th DAN, provided tactical support for the competitors as well as took video of the event. Susan Carr, Soliday Yellow Belt, took photos of the competition.


A possible first for the Sapulpa Institute of Karate was competing in the Team Forms
competition. Kassie Carr and Chelsea took 2nd Place for their Creative Goju Form!
